Creating a Canvas Connector

How to create Canvas Connector


To begin importing a Canvas course, the first step is to set up a connection with Canvas. Kadal AI uses APIs to integrate with Canvas, ensuring smooth data exchange. For this step users need to get the Access Token from the Canvas account.




  1. Get the Access Token from your Canvas account.

  2. Login to Kadal

  3. Navigate to the Connector section from the left panel menu.

  4. On the Connectors page, click + Connectors to create a new Canvas Connector.

  5. On the Canvas Connector modal, fill in the details for the connection:

    • Connection Name: Choose any name that helps identify the connection purpose.

    • Domain URL: Provide a valid Canvas URL.

    • Connection Type: By Access Token (Selected by Default)

    • Access Token: Enter the valid access token acquired from your Canvas Account.

  6. Once the details are filled, click Save to complete the setup and create the Canvas Connector.

  7. On successful creation, the newly created Canvas Connector will be visible on the Connectors page.

  8. To update an existing Canvas Connector, hover over the Connector and click on the More (vertical ellipsis) button and select Edit.

  9. To delete an existing Canvas Connector, hover over the Connector and click on the More (vertical ellipsis) button and select Delete.
